Biography:

Alice Braga was born on April 15, 1983 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She started her career by appearing in school plays and commercials.

She made her acting debut in 1998 when she starred in the short film Trampolim. Her breakthrough came in 2002 when she landed the role of Angelica in the critically-acclaimed film City of God. For her performance, she received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Cinema Brazil Grand Prize.

In 2006, she made her English-language film debut with a starring role in Journey to the End of Night. She further gained recognition starring with Will Smith in I Am Legend.
