She continued playing guest roles in such shows as Switched at Birth, Major Crimes, and General Hospital. Wainwright’s first starring role on the small screen was as Maia Roberts in the Freeform series Shadowhunters. Afterward, she starred as Nicole Reese in the Netflix series Raising Dion. She will play Maggie Hayes in the upcoming film Palmer.
