Ana Obregon: Spanish actress, 68, reveals surrogate baby is her late son’s
Sophia Aguilar The child Ana Obregón just gave birth to through surrogacy is the biological daughter of her late son Aless, who passed away from cancer at the age of 27 in May 2020.
Ana Obregón dispels claims that she gave birth to her second child at the age of 68.
The Spanish actress spoke candidly to HOLA! about the newest member of her family, admitting the baby girl, Ana Sandra Lequio Obregón (also known as Anita), who was delivered via a surrogate in the United States is actually her granddaughter rather than her daughter.
The little girl is the daughter of Obregón’s late son Aless Lequio, whom she shared with Italian aristocrat Alessandro Lequio, and who passed away from cancer at the age of 27 in May 2020, according to Obregón.
She said to the source, “She is Aless’s daughter and when she grows up, I will tell her that her father was a hero so that she knows who she is and how proud she should be of him.
People are unaware that this was Aless’ last will, she said, pointing out that he had shared his wishes with both her and Lequio and had frozen sperm before beginning chemotherapy after being diagnosed.
According to Reuters, Spain is one of few nations that forbids all types of surrogacy. Obergón explained why she chose to employ a US-based surrogate by stating that “the samples were preserved in the United States.”
Obergón shared the interview on Instagram and said, “My Aless: I made a promise to keep you from getting cancer, but I failed you. Your daughter is now in my arms after I pledged to deliver her to the world.
She continued, “When I hug her, it’s an indescribable feeling because it feels like I’m hugging you again.” “I swear that you will assist me from heaven, and I will care for her with all the love I have to give.”
“You are the love of my life in heaven, and your daughter is the love of my life on earth,” Obergón said in closing. I adore you utterly. Mom ❤️.”
