Adele and Sam Smith’s conspiracy theory has taken Twitter by storm and it states that Adele and Sam Smith are the same person. Having said that, can it possibly be that both these music legends are the same person? The answer is yes, according to a young Twitter user @Jesse21Valona who tweeted a video of Adele’s famous track ‘Hello’ this week. When the track was played slow, the singer uncannily sounded like Sam Smith, and as a result, the conspiracy theory arose.

Whether the conspiracy theory holds true or not, one thing is for sure both talented singers have many things in common. Both singers are British. Both have won the prestigious Grammy awards and both singers sing on love and heartbreak numbers. So, do these common factors plus the video tweeted by Jesse Valona make them the same person?

Sam laughed over the odd conspiracy theory when he was invited onto The Drew Barrymore Show Monday, where they brought up the bizarre rumor that Adele is just Sam Smith.

Sam joked about the so-called proof of the conspiracy “We’ve never been seen in the same room together. And if you slow down her voice, it sounds maybe a bit like mine,” the singer remarked.

Adele (born 5 May 1988) is already mom to a son Angelo, 9½, whom she shares with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. “I definitely would like a couple more kids,” she said. “It would be wonderful if we can. If not, I’ve got Angelo.

Whilst Sam Smith was born in London on May 19, 1992, to Frederick Smith and Kate Cassidy. They have two sisters — Mabel and Lily Smith — and had a love for music from an early age, having been part of Youth Music Theatre UK as a child.

It should be noted both are up for Grammy Awards this year, so it is likely both will show up at the ceremony and help put those odd rumors to rest.
