Yes, Donovan Bailey and Arlene Duncan are related to each other. Donovan is Arlene’s half-brother. Bailey is a retired Jamaican-Canadian sprinter who won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games. 

Arlene’s father, Alvin B. Aberdeen Duncan, was a decorated Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) veteran of the Second World War. Her mother is from Jamaica.

Alvin Duncan worked as Oakville’s resident black historian before his death. He died in 2009.
