Plus-size supermodel Ashley Graham is in her last trimester of pregnancy and announced via Instagram she has gained 50 pounds. Following the announcement, the 32-year-old shared a picture of herself with her husband Justin Ervin and then a second picture where he photographed his wife in the nude. Ashley revolutionized the modeling industry after sparking controversy for a Lane Bryant ad that played during the primetime hours of an American Idol episode. Ashley’s voluptuous figure sparked outrage and a response from Victoria’s Secret who were running commercials in the same time slot and felt that Ashley’s curves were a bit too competitive to their liking. Since then, Ashley has continued to defy standards and demand her place in the modeling world. Now, she has brought the same type of attitude to maternity fashion and many women view Ashley Graham as a role model.

At a time when many celebrities are known for giving birth and then immediately snapping back into shape, women like Jessica Simpson and Ashley Graham are refreshing. Jessica always gained a lot of weight during her pregnancies and fought hard to reclaim her post-baby body each time.

Now, Ashley Graham is joining the ranks of pregnant celebrities that real women can relate to. Ashely has continued working throughout her pregnancy, has been photographed eating real food, and readily admitted that she has gained 50 pounds.
