Deadpool

The same-named Marvel Comics character serves as the inspiration for the 2016 superhero film Deadpool. It is the seventh overall spin-off in the X-Men film franchise. Fox 20th Century distributes it.

The movie, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and directed by Tim Miller, also features Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand (in his feature film directing debut).

Actor Ryan Reynolds portrays the lead role. Wade Wilson, who in the film adopts the persona of the antihero Deadpool, looks for the person responsible for bestowing him with mutant abilities and a physically scarred face.
