Benjamin Strain Died in a Car Accident, Shane Wolff Penncrest High school student
Matthew Shields The Penncrest High School and Rose Tree Media School District communities are mourning the loss of two students.
According to district Superintendent Eleanor DiMarino-Linnen, ninth grader Shane Wolff and Linking Learning to Life student Benjamin Strain have died.“We are deeply saddened by the loss of these students to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child as needed,” DiMarino-Linnen said. “I know that our RTM family will come together to support the families of each of these students and each other during this difficult time.”
The Delaware County Daily Times repots Wolff died in a crash on Route 352 in Middletown Township Monday night.
Strain died due to an illness, according to Fox 29.
“Both students were great students and people, and they were valued members of our school community,” DiMarino-Linnen said. “We informed the staff and students this morning and our counselors and psychologist are available to provide any needed support.”
