Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, made a splash at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards, and they have managed to get everyone’s attention although they did not take a prize home.

The mother of three was nominated for best original song – motion picture for the song, “Spirit,” from The Lion King movie.

The power couple opted to skip the red carpet and had the final say on the official photo that would be available to the media.

They also used the rare outing to plug Jay-Z’s brand of champagne, Armand de Brignac. Their security guards were spotted carrying two bottles of the pricey drink.

If these moves were not enough to grab headlines, Queen Bey sat during the standing ovation the very talented Joaquin Phoenix received after winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his performance in the Joker.

Some in the media think she was making a statement, while others say she was just uncool. Either way, here is what she said about controlling her narrative a few months ago: “The more I mature, the more I understand my value. I realized I had to take control of my work and my legacy because I wanted to be able to speak directly to my fans in an honest way. I wanted my words and my art to come directly from me. There were things in my career that I did because I didn’t understand that I could say no. We all have more power than we realize.”

Fans were excited to spot the two megastars briefly during the telecast. Their responses have been mostly positive.

One supporter stated: “Beyonce was like they know damn well they weren’t supposed to put that camera on me.”

A second commenter chimed in: “They look bored. At least she can take a quick nap on her sleeves.”

A third observer added: “They always look like they don’t wanna be there or even together 😂🤣.”

Another follower added: “I’m not liking Beyonce hanging out with normal celebrities. That is not God’s behavior; she is acting like she just a regular old famous person. 😭”
