Blake Gates Masters is a venture investor, political candidate, and author from the United States. 

In 2014, Masters and Peter Thiel co-wrote Zero to One: Notes on Startups,  or How to Build the Future, based on notes Masters took at Stanford Law School in 2012. 

Masters eventually became the chief operating officer of Thiel Capital, as well as the president of the Thiel Foundation.

Master graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2008.

Masters espoused fringe political ideas as an undergraduate in a CrossFit chat room, a LiveJournal blog, and the libertarian website LewRockwell.com. 

Masters criticized the United States’ involvement in World War I and World War II, and he praised Nazi war criminal Hermann Goering. 

Masters is the Republican Party’s nominee in Arizona’s 2022 U.S. Senate race, defeating state Attorney General Mark Brnovich and businessman Jim Lamon in the August 2 primary. 

Throughout his campaign, he has sided with Thiel and former President Donald Trump, both of whom have backed him for re-election in June 2022.
