Carlota Ciganda is a Spanish professional golfer. Ciganda plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She is the Ladies European Tour’s Order of Merit (money title) 2012 champion. Ciganda won the title in her professional debut. She was awarded the rookie of the year honors in the same year. Ciganda was born on June 1, 1990, in Pamplona, Spain, and started playing golf at the age of 5 years.

She had a very successful amateur career, winning several events such as the European Ladies Amateur Championship in 2004, the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship in 2005, the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship in 2006, the British Ladies Amateur in 2007, and twice the European Ladies Amateur Championship, Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship, in 2008. As an amateur, she played several professional tournaments and first took part in the 2005 Tenerife Ladies Open at the age of 14 years.

Ciganda turned professional in May 2011, she made her professional debut in June 2011, at the Tenerife Ladies Match Play, an unofficial event on the LET schedule, where she finished second to Becky Brewerton. In 2011, she played on the LET Access Series that season, winning the Murcia Ladies Open. In her first full season on the 2012 Ladies European Tour, she won the ISPS Handa Order of Merit and was also voted as the Player of the Year, by the LET members. She competed in 19 tournaments, winning two at the Deloitte Ladies Open and the China Suzhou Taihu Open. She was also awarded the LET rookie of the year honors. In 2019, she won the 2019 AON Risk Reward Challenge, winning $1,000,000. Ciganda attended the United States at Arizona State University between 2008 and 2011, where she majored in Business Administration.
