It seems out of the ordinary to hear of such a ‘crossover,’ but it turns out that Cher and Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines are actually pretty good online friends! The pop legend and the reality TV celebs had a super heartwarming exchange on Twitter earlier this week, much to the enjoyment of their fans.

It all started with Cher tweeting: ‘Once in a while, I like to check in and see what is happening with Chip, Joanna and the kids #FixerUpper.’

In response, Chip quickly updated her on it and even sweetly called the pop diva ‘auntie Cher!’

‘Well Auntie Cher, the kids are doing just great! A little bit cold going around, but you know how it is. Send everyone our love! -the Gaines clan,’ the man wrote.

As you can imagine, their collective fans went crazy over the unexpected interaction since they seem from two entirely different worlds in the entertainment industry.

Here are a couple of their reactions on Twitter: ‘I don’t know which is sweeter… Cher tuning in just like the rest of us to Chip and Joanna or Chip following Cher and loving her like this. Love it.’ / ‘THIS IS EVERYTHING!!!! When two worlds collide into one beautiful unicorn!!’

So it sounds like while it may have taken the followers by surprise, they approve a hundred percent of the unusual friendship.

Meanwhile, Chip’s wife, Joanna did not respond to Cher’s sweet tweet, but there is no doubt that she appreciated it just as much.
