Cheslie Kryst, a former Miss USA, lawyer, and television personality, died at the age of 30 after presumably jumping from a Manhattan apartment building Sunday morning.

On Sunday evening, the New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed her death to The Hill.

Kryst also earned a law degree and a master’s degree in business from Wake Forest University and worked as an attorney in North Carolina before entering the pageant scene. She formerly competed in Division 1 track and field at the University of South Carolina.

After winning the pageant, Kryst became a correspondent for the entertainment television show “Extra,” where the show’s creators referred to her as a “essential component of our show.”
