Clare Drakeford Cause of Death, the wife of Wales’s First Minister Mark Drakeford
Marcus Reynolds Mrs. Mark Drakeford, the First Minister of Wales, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66.
The wife of Labour Party leader Mark Drakeford, Clare Drakeford, passed away on Saturday, according to the Welsh Government.
In a statement, a spokeswoman said “We are devastated to share the news of the unexpected death of Clare Drakeford, wife of the First Minister.
We ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this time, but know that the thoughts of everyone in the Welsh Government are with them.
The Drakefords, longtime Cardiff residents, tied the knot back in 1977. During their 46 years of marriage, they had three children.
Mr. Drakeford rarely discusses his personal life, however he did reveal that Mrs. Drakeford hid out in their garden shed during the coronavirus outbreak because of her own health issues.

On July 2020, he reported to LBC: “They should not be put in danger due to their own health problems.
“As meeting new individuals is a regular part of my employment, I unavoidably pose a threat to those I come into contact with. Therefore, they have been occupants of the house from the very outset. I’ve been shacking up in the garden shed.
We’re making do the best we can.”
Political leaders from throughout the country were eager to send their condolences.
According to Downing Street, Rishi Sunak personally consoled the Welsh prime minister with his “deepest condolences.”
Sir Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour Party, expressed his “horror and sadness” at the news.
Andrew RT Davies, leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said, “My thoughts and prayers are with Mark Drakeford and his family at this incredibly difficult time.
“I’ve only met Clare a few times, but each time I did, I found her to be a kind and friendly great lady. I was completely taken aback by the news of her dying.
Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, stated: “In this time of great sorrow, Mark and his loved ones have my deepest sympathies.
“I know Mark is deeply saddened by the loss of Clare since the connection between them was so evident on the few occasions I got to know her.
