Collin Flynn Dies In single-vehicle rollover incident near Sauk Centre
Sarah Scott Collin Flynn, a former student at Detroit Lakes High School was killed in a single-vehicle rollover incident near Sauk Centre on Sunday, June 4.
Collin is a native of Detroit Lakes, which is the county capital of Becker County and is located in the State of Minnesota.
According to a press statement from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported at 1:32 a.m. on Sunday in the 43000 block of County Road 17, which is located about 2 miles northwest of Sauk Centre. There was a man lying in the middle of the road and a car in the ditch, the caller said.
Collin Flynn was killed in a collision with a truck in Sherburne County.
The accident happened on Saturday, June 3rd, and David L. Scherping, 51, was ejected from his motorcycle.
Former county deputy status has been confirmed for Scherping by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the announcement, when police arrived, they discovered a guy lying in the road who was later identified as 24-year-old Collin James Flynn from Detroit Lakes.
In the southwest ditch of County Road 17, a 2012 GMC Terrain was located. According to the sheriff’s department, the GMC was “significantly damaged” and looked like it had rolled over multiple times.
The investigation into the accident site revealed that Flynn was operating a 2012 GMC Terrain and heading southeast on State Route 17 into Sauk Centre.
The Terrain veered off to the right, hit a field approach, vaulted, and rolled multiple times, as stated in the press announcement. County Road 17’s southwest ditch turned up the object.
According to the announcement, Flynn was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead there.
According to the sheriff’s office, alcohol is a suspect in the ongoing inquiry into the crash’s cause. The police and ambulance services in Sauk Centre helped the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, he recently went away as a result of the serious injuries he sustained in a fatal car accident. The accident’s causes have not yet been made public.
