Constance Wu is an American actress known for his role in the ABC television comedy Fresh Off the Boat and has been nominated for two TCA Awards and four Critics’ Choice Television Awards for Fresh Off the Boat.

Wu had parts on stage and in independent films in New York City. In 2006, she made her screen debut in Stephanie Daley, with a supporting role. She later also had supporting roles in Fish Year and Architect Year. She appeared on television in episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Torchwood, and Covert Affairs, as well as playing a recurring role as Laudine Lee on the 2007 ABC soap opera One Life to Live. After heartbreak in 2010, Wu moved from New York to Los Angeles and chose impulsively to tell in an interview, where she was cast in Sound of My Voice, directed by Brit Marling.

Wu appeared in the EastSiders web-series from 2012 to 2017. She has won two Indie Series Awards in 2014 and 2016, both for Best Ensemble-Drama. During the same years, she was also nominated for two Indie Series Awards, one for Best Supporting Actress-Drama and the other for Best Guest Actress-Drama. In 2014, with two young Asian-American directors, Yung Chang and Christopher Yogi, Wu participated in Sundance Screenwriters’ Lab, in what she thought was a rare opportunity to help fellow Asian storytellers.
