Investigators revealed on Tuesday that Daly City officers had made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 27-year-old woman.

Frances Kendra Chan Lucero was the woman, according to the examiner.

On Monday evening, just after 7:30 p.m., a shooting took place in a private area on Eastgate Drive near Glenwood Avenue, close to the Westlake Shopping Center.

Lucero, a city resident, “was shot multiple times and declared deceased at the scene,” according to investigators.

A residential neighborhood intersection is shut down by police in a video taken at the site.

Police claimed that their homicide probe resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old male from Daly City, who was then booked into the San Mateo County Main Jail.
