Dean Richards Career

Richards’s career started in radio in the year 1975. Around that time, he held a number of jobs in different stations in Chicago like WLTD (now WCGO), WMRO and WAUR, Aurora; WFYR (now WKSC-FM), WCFL (now WMVP), WIND (AM), and WCLR.

Dean also did voice-over work for WPWR-TV Channel 60 in 1984. The year after, he doubles as the operations manager and morning host working at the Satellite Music Network. This went on until 1990 when he joined WNUA as a weekend and substitute radio host

In the year 1990, Dean joined WNUA in Chicago as a radio host to serve as a substitute. In 1991 Dean was promoted to the post of morning host in July.

The year after, he was still at WNUA but as a staff announcer at WGN-TV. In the same year, he became WNUA’s morning host as the replacement to Yvonne Daniels who died. He left WNUA in the year 1994 and became a fill-in radio host at WGN (AM) in Chicago. In December of the same year, he got a radio program of his own to be performed on a Sunday Afternoon.
