The famous Joseph Demarius Jody Fortson Jr. is an American football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He played college football for Valdosta State University after transferring from Erie Community College and was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

Going into the NFL, Fortson converted to Tight End and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2019. He was waived on August 31, 2019, and signed to the practice squad the next day. Fortson remained on the practice squad for the rest of the season and as the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers. He re-signed with the Chiefs on February 5, 2020. He was waived on September 5, 2020. He signed to the practice squad the following day.
