Unfortunately, at the age of 51, Elise Finch, a renowned meteorologist for CBS New York, passed away in a sad accident. She passed unexpectedly at a nearby hospital in New York on Sunday evening, and the news of her terrible death was announced shortly after. Her specific cause of death is still a mystery.

Elise, also known as Elise Dione Finch Henriques, joined the WCBS staff in 2007 as a weekend meteorologist and worked there for an incredible 16 years. She had most recently worked as a morning news anchor, joining the 9 a.m. newscast in September of the previous year.

CBS expressed tremendous regret in an official statement, describing Elise as an incredibly accomplished and committed professional who approached her work with great attention. They also recognized her tremendous contributions to the community, notably in Mount Vernon, her hometown.

Above all, Elise was renowned for being a loving and devoted mother to her daughter Grace, as well as a supporting wife to her husband Graig Henriques, a photojournalist at WCBS.
