Erion Kajtazi, a football player for FC Trepça ’89 and a member of the Kosovo national teams, passed away today after suffering a heart attack, the Football Federation of Kosovo has announced with deep regret.
The legendary Kosovar football player was participating in the Super League junior division match between A&N and Trepça’89 when he briefly lost consciousness on the field.
He received prompt assistance from the medical staff of both clubs, who then swiftly transported him to the Regional Hospital in Prizren. Erion did not exhibit any signs of life, despite the greatest efforts of the medical staff, and it was determined that he had died of a heart attack.
The Football Federation of Kosovo sends its deepest sympathies for Erion’s untimely passing to the Kajtazi Family, FC “Trepça’89,” and the entire football community.
