Fatal Vows: Denise Bozarth Now – Is She Still In Jail?

Denise Bozarth is currently in jail; she was sentenced to fourteen years. She recently pleaded not guilty to her arraignment, as per the sources.

She was arrested in Walton County on charges of first-degree murder in the death of Edward Bozarth.

Denise had been Edward’s wife for nine years before his death. Denise had requested separation from him just before his death, and her parents had scooped up their children and taken them to Defuniak Springs.

Denise traveled from Key Largo to Defuniak Springs to be with her children. She didn’t see her husband alive again after that; she informed detectives.

She has been interviewed by investigators several times since then, and they claim she has given them many contradictory explanations about what transpired that day.

A person who resided on board the vessel with the couple during the summer of 2007 told investigators that Denise would talk to her daily about killing her husband, specifically the many methods she considered.

Edward Bozarth Death And Murder Dateline

Edward Bozarth was discovered dead on his boat, the “[SCREW] U 2,” docked at Gilbert’s Resort on July 1, 2007. His wife, Denise Bozarth, and their two children resided on the yacht.

His body was discovered wrapped in a canvas sail storage bag in the starboard engine compartment. 

A towel was slung over his head. He’d been dead for about a week at this point.

His face and head have sustained significant traumatic damage.

His death was judged a homicide by the Medical Examiner, who determined that he died of blunt force trauma to the head.

According to a statement from a person who lived onboard the vessel with the pair, Denise talked about the inheritance money she would collect after Edward’s death. So she might kill him because of his money.

She told her about a bequest Bozarth had received from his mother. She assured her that she would receive the funds after his death. Investigators determined that Bozarth had inherited a sizable sum of money and that Denise was, in fact, one of his beneficiaries when he died.
