The channel’s name was derived from the family’s motto 'Fun 'Ol Day'. It originally started as a vlog, but later expanded to include all sorts of funny activities, involving Duddy’s family members. His first video, featuring one-year-old Alexis, was posted on August 25, 2007 with the caption 'Baby Eating Salt and Vinegar Chips! First Time Trying & Eating Reaction!' During the first few years, videos were posted very rarely on his channel, and the frequency was as low as only one video a year. Duddy became a regular YouTuber in late 2009. His 2011 video titled 'If Kids Were In Charge!', featuring his daughter Alexis and his son Mike, became one of the most popular videos on the channel. Following the birth of his second son Chase, he created a YouTube channel, specifically dedicated to his older children, Alexis and Mike.
