On Saturday (February 26), the body of Thai actress Tangmo Nida was discovered floating in the Chao Phraya River.

Tangmo Nida is the actress’s stage name, although her actual name is Nida Patcharaveerapong. Nida had acted in films such as Pard 888 and The Flying Leaf and was on Tangmo’s way to becoming a household name in the entertainment business.

On the other hand, her corpse was discovered by the rescue crew at 11 p.m. near Pibulsongkram Pier, Nonthaburi, Bangkok, two days after she drowned.

The Bangkok Post said that Nida Patcharaveerapong had fallen off a speedboat during a pleasant ride down the river on Thursday night. At the time, she was not wearing a life jacket.

Her death is currently under investigation by local police. However, they did say that the speedboat’s driver did not have a legal license.

Patcharaveerapong’s manager was among the five people on the boat at the time of the collapse, and they all reported to local police for investigation.

Panida Sirayutthayothin, the actress’s mother, has speculated that her daughter’s death was not an accident. “It’s possible someone wasn’t happy Tangmo was there,” she remarked, referring to Patcharaveerapong’s fan moniker.

Patcharaveerapong’s final Instagram post, which has 1.7 million followers, was published just before her collapse on Thursday. “The sun sets to rise again,” she captioned the photo, which included photos of her relaxing on a beach in Phuket.
