After learning that his lover Georgina Symonds was intending to blackmail him with footage of a threesome, business mogul Peter Morgan killed her savagely.

Morgan admitted to murdering the mother-of-one, covering her body in black plastic, and hiding it in a workshop behind his marital home when police discovered CCTV evidence of him transporting the body.

Despite claiming lesser culpability for the murder owing to Asperger’s syndrome, the tycoon was sentenced to life in prison on December 21, 2016.

 He expressed concern that she might abandon him and work for other guys while also extorting money from him by threatening to disclose incriminating photos and videos.

Morgan wrapped up Symonds’ body and placed it near his family’s property in an outbuilding after killing her. He then confessed to the authorities and pointed them in the direction of the body.

Morgan was emotionless when the jury foreman read out the panel’s decision. 

Morgan’s defense attorney, Patrick Harrington QC, told the judge in mitigation that his client had a mental condition that had been exacerbated by extended stress.

Officers tracked Miss Symonds’ cellphone to Morgan’s farmhouse in Usk, Monmouthshire, where he admitted to killing her.

When detectives inquired if he had killed her, he claimed he had taken her phone to prevent her from obtaining narcotics, but when asked if he had, he said: “Yes.

At Gwent Coroner’s Court in Newport, an inquest into Ms. Symonds’ death was formally opened.

The tentative cause of her death, according to a post mortem examination, was ‘ligature pressure,’ which means she was strangled with a rope or cord,’ according to Coroner David Bowen.

Morgan was remanded in custody on Monday after appearing via videolink at Cardiff Crown Court ahead of a hearing in April.

Ms. Symonds’ heartbroken mother, Deborah Symonds, described her daughter, as “the light of my life” in a statement. ‘I have lost a wonderful daughter, she was the light of my life,’ she added in a statement. Her family is devastated, and she will be sorely missed.
