Brown began her pageant career at the age of 15, when she competed in local Alabama teen pageants. She was the first runner-up in Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen 2010 and the second runner-up in Miss Alabama Teen USA 2011.

Brown went on to compete in Miss Alabama 2013, representing Tuscaloosa, but she did not place. Brown returned to pageantry after a brief hiatus to compete in Miss Alabama USA 2017 but did not place. The following year, she returned to represent West Alabama and was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2018.

Brown was chosen as Miss Alabama USA 2018 to represent Alabama at the Miss USA 2018 pageant, which was held in Shreveport, Louisiana. Brown shared a room at Miss USA with future The Bachelor castmate Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2018.
