A native of London, Hadden-Paton is a member of a landed gentry family of Rossway, near Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. He attended Eton College and Durham University and later received training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). After graduating, he began his career on stage and gradually established himself as a prolific stage actor. He made his screen debut in an episode of ‘The Amazing Mrs Pritchard’ in 2006. His cinematic debut came a year later in the French-British-Czech film ‘La Vie en Rose’. In the next few years, he played supporting roles in various projects before being cast in ‘Downton Abbey’. He has also appeared in ‘The Crown’ as Martin Charteris and in ‘Versailles’ as Gaston de Foix. For ‘My Fair Lady’, he has been nominated for Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk, and Drama League awards.
