He was also the 37th Lieutenant Governor of Virginia from 1998 to 2002 and the chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia from August 2007 to May 2008. Hager’s mother is Margaret Dickinson "Maggie" Hager, née Chase. He has an older brother named John Vigil Hager.Henry Hager studied at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia. After graduating high school, he attended the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, from where he earned his MBA degree.
