Dirk Nowitzki is a retired NBA star who featured for the Dallas Mavericks for 21 seasons and won his only NBA championship in 2011.

During his 21 NBA seasons with the Mavericks, the 14-time All-Star averaged 20.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Dirk was awarded MVP in the 2006-2007 season and helped the franchise win its lone NBA title in 2010-2011. 

Fans couldn’t stop expressing their admiration for Nowitzki’s ceremony, and Dallas, of course, won’t let us forget how happy we are to have had him for the previous two decades.

The Dallas Mavericks have formally and presented a miniature replica of a statue in his Dirk Nowitski’s honor, which will be positioned outside the American Airlines Center soon.

During his 21 NBA seasons with the Mavericks, the 14-time All-Star averaged 20.7 points and 7.5 rebounds, was voted MVP in 2006-2007 and helped the franchise win its lone NBA championship.

The ceremony took place in the stadium following the Mavericks’ 99-82 victory over the Golden State Warriors, and it included statements from Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, former teammate and current Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, and the Big German himself.

Nowitzki is the fourth Mavericks player in history to have his jersey retired, after Brad Davis, Rolando Blackman, and Derek Harper.
