Is Keeshae Jacobs Found Yet?

Keeshae Jacobs has not been found yet. She was last seen leaving her house to visit her friend’s home. Since then, neither she could be contacted nor traced down.

Keeshae was born on August 6, 1995, and raised by her mother, Toni. She had a brother, Deavon, and who was close to each other. Kesshae, Toni, and Deavon were a trio who had a close bond with each other.

In 2016, Kesshae’s brother, Deavon, was arrested and sent to jail. Just before Keeshae had gone missing, Deavon was to be released from prison, but she couldn’t meet him.

Deavon was later found murdered, but in the investigation, police found that his death was unrelated to her sister’s missing case. Her mother was devasted to lose one of her children while the other was not where to be found.

Keesha’s missing case has garnered social media attention and new channels. Similarly, it has been featured in Dateline’s Podcast Missing America.

Toni has also been featured in the HBO docuseries Black and Missing. In the docuseries, it was revelead that African Americans had remained missing four times longer than White Americans.

Similarly, in the series, she shared that when she reported to the police officials that her daughter was nowhere to be found, they didn’t take the case seriously at the beginning when the 48 hours was the most crucial period in a missing case.

Keeshae Jacobs Had Gone Missing From Richmond

Keeshae Jacobs went missing from her Richmond home on September 26, 2016. She had texted her mother while working that she was going to her friend’s party and would return the day after home.

On September 27, 2016, her mother didn’t receive any messages and could find her daughter in her home. Toni released that something was wrong and called her friends as if she were them, but she was not with any of her friends.

On September 28, 2016, after searching every place, Toni and Deavon thought they could find her and didn’t get any clues about her, so Toni and Deavon went to the police station to file the report, but they didn’t take the case seriously and dismissed it.

Her mother, Toni, was able to file a police report but not a missing report. After five days of her disappearance, Keeshae’s mother and brother distributed missing fliers in the community.

While distributing the filers, her friends shared that they had lied about Keeshae’s whereabouts as Keesha had made it to the house. Toni was shocked by the news and asked about all the information.

Her friends revelead that Keeshae had asked them to drive her home 10 minutes away so that she could meet a mutual female friend. Later while talking to the mutual female friend, she denied making plans with Keeshae.

Toni saw a ray of hope after finding some clue. She discovered that her friend Demarcus Hunt had agreed to drive her. Demarcus shared that he saw Keeshae going to the house and drove away after dropping her off.

Toni went to the house Keeshae had gone to at night and found a man living in that house and asked her if Keeshae had come to his home in 26. The man affirmed that Jacobs was there, but she was there for only a few minutes before someone else picked her up.

Police began investigating as she was unknown for quite a long time, and all her social media were inactive too. Her mother, Toni, again visited the home she had last gone to, and to her surprise, the man she had seen was nowhere to be found.

In 2018 a development in the missing case was seen when a prison inmate claimed to have information about her whereabouts. The person is in jail for the charges of assaulting a woman, but his identity has not been revelead, nor has his information regarding Keeshae.

What Happened To Keeshae Jacobs?

Keeshae Jacobs has disappeared, and there is still no news regarding her whereabouts. Police had done their investigation regarding her missing case but were not able to yield any positive results.

Her mother is still going on the journey to find her daughter despite it being six years after her disappearance. Toni has established a foundation called The Keeshae Jacobs foundation.

The foundation collaborates with the Richmond City Police department every April for Missing Person’s Day.

Efforts to find Keeshae is still going on, and her mother believes that Keeshae has not gone away but is there, and her story can be used to help other families in need.
