Marvin Daniel, also known as Marv Levy, is a well-known author, executive in the front office, and American and Canadian football coach. He split his time between the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL) as head coach (NFL). In 2001, he received his election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In 1997, Levy retired and became an analyst for NFL. Levy served in local broadcasts for the Bills’ pre-season games from 1998, and in 2006, he was appointed as the Bills’ general manager.

During the regular season, he was a member of the Chicago Bears pregame show aired on ESPN Radio 1000 WMVP-AM and a Bears postgame show on Comcast SportsNet.

Moreover, besides being a football coach, he is also an author. Marv Levy’s Where Else Would You Rather Be? book was a hit in the marketplace and was liked by many book readers.

Where Is Marv Levy Today?

In 2007, Marv Levy retired as Bills’ general manager. He went back to his hometown of Chicago after retiring. However, Levy spent his time mentoring the head coach in Montreal. Marv agreed he would return to being a coach if he was asked. 

After being a coach, Marv also wrote a book entitled Game Changers: The Greatest Plays in Buffalo Bills Football History in collaboration with Buffalo Football Historian Jeffery J. Miller. Levy continued his writing by publishing his second book, Between the Lies, in 2011. 

A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Levy was selected among the few in attendance at the 1945 World Series and the 2016 World Series. Moreover, the fourth published book of Levy, entitled Go Cubs Go is a children’s book based on the 2016 series. 

In 2020, Levy helped The Friends of the National World War II Memorial to persuade NFL teams and the league itself to recognize the 75th anniversary of the war, honoring legends at Super Bowl LIV in Miami.

In 2021, Marv Levy was conscripted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
