Samantha Martel Johnson is an American soccer defender who currently plays for Soyaux. She was born on June 10, 1991.

She has previously played for the Chicago Red Stars and Utah Royals FC of the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC, and Melbourne City in the Australian W-League.

Johnson was a forward at the University of Southern California from 2009 until 2012, when she played for the Trojans.

Johnson appeared in 20 games as a freshman, starting 19 of them. With four goals, she finished second on the team and was chosen to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team.

Johnson started all 22 games for the Trojans in 2010. Johnson started all 20 games of her junior season in 2011, and 14 seconds into the game, she scored the fastest goal in program history.

Johnson scored the game-winning goal in a 2–1 triumph over UCLA Bruins in her senior year’s last match.
