Stephen Kevin Bannon is a popular media executive, political strategist, and former investment banker. During the first seven months of President Donald Trump’s administration, he worked as the White House’s top strategist.

He formerly served on the board of the now-defunct data-analytics company Cambridge Analytica and was the former executive chairman of Breitbart News.

Bannon served as an officer in the US Navy for seven years in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After serving in the military, he spent two years working as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs.

Three of Bannon’s marriages ended in divorce. He married Cathleen Houff Jordan first. He wed Mary Louise Piccard, a fellow investment banker, in 1995. They later divorced. He then wed Diane Clohesy, with whom he split in 2009.

Steve Bannon was named the interim head of the Biosphere 2 research project in 1993.

He produced 18 movies while working as an executive producer in Hollywood between 1991 and 2016. In 2007, he helped launch Breitbart News, which he later referred to as “the forum for the alt-right.”
