Jennifer Lopez celebrated the holiday weekend – in the sun. The sultry-at-53 star shows off her famous figure in one of her latest social media posts, sitting poolside in the Hamptons. "Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend filled with love, family, friends and fun," she captioned the curation of Instagram photos and videos. Jen, who runs and lifts to stay in shape, also gets her cardio in at the studio. "I've been dancing a lot over the past two months as I'm gearing up for my album to come out, so that's taken over as my main fitness routine," she told Popsugar.

Jennifer switches up her workout routine as she ages. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she explained in InStyle's 2021 The Beauty Issue. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. Jennifer's trainer Dodd Romero once revealed that she "drinks a minimum of seven glasses a day," he told US Weekly. "Incorporating hydration into my day is a top priority for me as it helps me perform my best. For me, hydration is key to keep me going and have energy to do everything I am asking my body to do," she added to Popsugar.

"You got to work out, you got to watch what you eat," Jennifer confessed to Us Weekly about her approach to staying in shape. "It's a job— you've got to buckle down." Per Dodd her diet consists of a lot of protein, vegetables, fats, carbohydrates and water. Additionally, she "stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources." Egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast and grass-fed beef three to four times a week serve as her main protein sources. Healthy fats in the form of fish like salmon and sea bass packed with high levels of omega-3s and 6s and "a handful" of nuts per day are also go-to foods. She also eats lots of veggies and complex carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, rice bread and oatmeal, which she'll eat with fresh berries.

"I always find a way to prioritize my physical and mental health," Jennifer told Popsugar about her commitment to health. "Working out is a choice that I make every day, and I feel that it unlocks the best version of myself. I've had to perform at a high level for many years, so it's important to find the right balance to go harder and to get better without compromising things that are important to me."
