He was a regular face on British television during the 1980s and presented a number of shows including ‘Celebrity Squares,’ ‘Game for a Laugh’ and ‘You've Been Framed,’ to name a few. Born in Hackney, East London, Beadle was raised by his single mother who worked as a secretary after she was abandoned by his father even before Jeremy was born. As a student, he was expelled from his secondary school which led him to travel in Europe in search of work. Beadle held a number of jobs as a tour guide, lavatory attendant, photographer, and skin-diving instructor before he started his writing career. He eventually became popular for presenting and hosting various TV programs including game shows. Renowned for his general knowledge, the British presenter hosted the quiz game show ‘Win Beadle's Money.’ In 2001, he received the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire or MBE for his services to charity.
