Jim Edmonds has zero tolerance for his estranged wife, former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds, making accusations about their divorce in public. After Meghan told an Instagram follower that her soon-to-be ex-husband wasn’t giving her enough money to feed their three children, Jim fired back through his rep to set the record straight.

“Girl I have a career thank you very much! That child support is not buying me gold and baubles — it barely pays for groceries for my tribe!” wrote Meghan earlier this week.

Meghan’s “tribe” consists of the three children she shares with the St. Louis Cardinals hall-of-famer – Aspen, 3, and twins Hart and Hayes, 2 – and they are currently with her in California during the COVID-19 pandemic, while Jim is at home in St. Louis.

After Meghan posted her comment, Jim’s rep Steve Honig told Page Six that her claims are completely false.

“We’re not going to give numbers because it’s no one’s business, but if what Jim is giving to Meghan each month for child support doesn’t cover her groceries, she must be getting her eggs from Fabergé,” said Honig.

He added that Jim pays every single bill for both of Meghan’s homes, plus all of the medical bills and “practically every other expense” that is related to the kids and the houses. Honig says that Jim goes “above and beyond” what he is required to do, and Meghan’s comments are an “insult to single mothers who are genuinely struggling financially and working multiple jobs to make ends meet.”

Honig also noted that someone should let Meghan know that child support is “not for gold and baubles.”

Jim and Meghan suddenly split last October after five years of marriage when she accused him of cheating with the nanny. Jim denied having an affair, but he has since moved on from the relationship and is currently dating Kortnie O’Connor, a woman that he and Meghan had threesomes with during their marriage.

That detail came to light on Meghan’s Intimate Knowledge podcast, where she claimed that she agreed to the threesomes to make Jim happy. He responded by saying that he was tired of Meghan lying about their marriage for publicity.

Their custody battle has been nasty since the split, especially in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jim accused Meghan of flying to California with the kids without letting him know, while she claims that he was fully aware she was traveling with the children.
