The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger is wishing husband Raymond Huger a happy Father's Day. Huger makes sure to have healthy habits no matter what her age. She enjoys working out several times a week and staying hydrated. "Since last year I've grown exponentially as a wife, mother, and friend," she said in 2018. "I also took inventory of my health. I started a healthy regimen of exercising three times a week, drinking lots of water, and eating well. The body is a temple and it should be treated as such." 

Huger credits a great health and wellness routine for her ageless looks. "I definitely have modernized my classic style and along with my health journey, have worked on myself inside and out," she says. "Taking care of yourself with self-care is so important and I feel good which resonates with my overall look. Huger loves hitting the trails on her bike. "It's been shown that cycling reduces anxiety and depression," says Jaclyn Kubiak, PT, DPT. "Mainly, because you can make it fun. You get the added benefit of being outdoors or you can go do it with friends… You can change the intensity for it yourself. It can be as easy as you want or as hard and enduring as you want."

Huger is frequently seen on social media sipping on champagne, which should be enjoyed in moderation. "We have found that a couple of glasses a day has a beneficial effect on the walls of blood vessels – which suggests champagne has the potential to reduce strokes and heart disease," says Dr Jeremy Spencer of Reading University. "It is very exciting news."

Huger has been calling out ageism since she was 50. "Ageism needs to be erased because let's talk about it," she says. "We were taught to be a different 50, okay? And it's not a midlife crisis, it's a midlife celebration, and we're doing the dang thing! I think women sometime we look at getting older, maturing as 'Oh my God, it's over!'"
