Biography:

Keanu Reeves was born on September 2, 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon. He started his acting career at the age of nine, appearing in a theatre production of Damn Yankees.

He then made his screen debut the CBS comedy series Hangin’ In. After a few minor roles, he landed a huge part in the 1986 drama film River’s Edge.

His breakthrough came in 1994 when he starred in the action film Speed. The unexpected worldwide success of the film catapulted him and co-star Sandra Bullock into stardom and made them into A-list stars.

He further gained international prominence for his role as Neo in The Matrix film trilogy.
