In a statement, his family confirmed that Ken Starr, the attorney who relentlessly pursued Clinton over his affair with Monica Lewinsky, had passed away at the age of 76.

When former Democratic president Clinton was impeached in 1998, it was because of Starr’s probe into Whitewater.

After her junior year at Skidmore College in New York, Mendell planned to follow Starr, who was enrolled in the Duke University School of Law, to Durham.

Starr was instrumental in the impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton, having previously served as a prominent figure in the Whitewater scandal.

In an interview with the Associated Press in 1999, Mendell declared,

“I would prefer not be married to someone who is disloyal,” despite standing by her husband during the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal probe.

Together, they had three kids: Randall Starr, Carolyn S. Doolittle, and Cynthia S. Roemer.

Randall, speaking on behalf of himself and his siblings, told KWTX, “We are very devastated by the loss of our beloved and loving father and grandfather, who we revered for his incredible work ethic but who loves his family always put it first.

We will always be grateful for the time we were able to spend with our father and will always treasure the particular memories we had with him because of his boundless love, boundless energy, lovable sense of humor, and fun-loving interest in each of us. Now he is with the Lord and Savior. ”

Ken Starr cause Of Death

According to the statement, he passed away on Tuesday due to post-operative complications at Houston’s Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Former US Solicitor General under George HW Bush, a position from which he made numerous arguments before the US Supreme Court, and a judge appointed by Reagan.

“He had a great career in academia, the law, and public service,” the family said in a statement, recalling Starr’s time as independent counsel, president and chancellor of Baylor University, and dean of Pepperdine School of Law.
