Kit Damson Passes Away, a resident of Zumbrota, Minnesota
Marcus Reynolds On March 21, 2023, Christopher Kit Damson, 47, of Zumbrota, passed away.
Kit was born on August 3, 1975, to McFarland, Wisconsin, residents Duke and Jacki Damson.
He earned a degree in exercise physiology from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater after graduating from McFarland High School.
Kit’s training brought him to the Mayo Clinic, where he spent many years working as a clinical exercise physiologist in the field of preventive and rehabilitative cardiology.
He began working with others as a Clinical System Specialist in 2018 to assist Mayo’s Integrated Stress Center.
Naturally, as a native of Wisconsin, he was a devoted supporter of the Packer, Brewer, Bucks, and Badgers. He liked Minnesota Wild hockey, so a little bit of Minnesota did influence him.
His affection for his sons, Hans and Dane, was his greatest love, though. His loud, booming voice could be heard throughout the neighborhood when he called his sons home for dinner or from the dugout or sideline, and for sure from the stands as he watched his boys play the sports they loved.
In addition to his sister Courtney (Shane) Snorek, sons Dane and Hans Damson, ex-wife Bretta (Dan) Nietz, nephew Henry Snorek, and a close friend Kasara Little and her daughter Aurora, he is also left by his parents, Duke and Jacki Damson.
On April 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota will host his burial. The service will be followed promptly by lunch and a time of fellowship.
