Nine months after the news broke that her parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were indicted on federal charges for their alleged involvement in the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal, Olivia Jade Giannulli has returned to her YouTube channel. The 20-year-old social media influencer posted a video titled “Hi again,” and she told her fans that she’s not legally allowed to speak about her parents’ case, and she also admitted that she wasn’t sure about when she should make her comeback.

Speaking directly to the camera, Olivia said that she wished she could talk about everything that is going on because it’s something that needs to be addressed. But, unfortunately, now is not the time. Olivia also explained how and why she decided to come back to YouTube now instead of waiting until her parents’ case was over.

“A part of me is like, ‘Should I come back to YouTube right now?’ Cause it’s been so long and I actually really, really miss it. Like, I genuinely miss filming,” said Olivia. “I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same because this is something I’m really passionate about, it’s something I really like to do.”

She continued by saying that she didn’t know what to do, and she debated for about seven or eight months. Olivia says she wondered what the point would be to post videos again since she wasn’t able to say anything. But, she wanted to come back, and she decided to leave it at that.

Olivia thanked her fans for their patience, and she appreciates that so many people waited to hear from her. She added that she wants to move on with her life and not try to be selfish, but it’s hard not to make it about her. However, how she’s been dealing with things during the last nine months was not the point of her video.

“Though, I’m terrified to make this video and come back, I know that I also want to start taking smaller steps in the right direction for people that have been DMing and asking me,” said Olivia. “Moral of the story is, I’ve missed you guys so much and I’m just really excited to start filming again and uploading and I really hope you enjoy the vlog.”

In just a matter of hours, the video already has a half million views, and the comments are pouring in. There seems to be a lot of support from fans, and they applauded Olivia for her courage to come back.

Meanwhile, Olivia Jade’s parents – Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli – are facing up to 50 years in prison after they allegedly paid $500,000 in bribes to get Olivia and her sister, Isabella, designated as crew recruits (even though neither one participated in the sport) so they could gain admission into the University of Southern California.
