Isabella Harris Mal Nicol is keeping things hot in Spain in her swimsuit. In one of her latest social media posts the Love Island beauty rocks a shimmery swimsuit to perfection. Mal gets her sweat on with strength training, bootcamp style workouts. She takes group fitness classes at Barry's Bootcamp. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Mal enjoys a glass of wine on occasion, usually opting for a white wine. While red wine is slightly healthier than white, the lighter shade of vino generally has fewer calories than the darker shade.
Mal makes sure to get her steps in. Luckily, she has a dog, so she has an excuse to take regular walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Mal also enjoys skiing. Research has linked downhill skiing to a number of health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress and the occurrence of memory deficits declines.
Mal makes sure to drink enough water. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
