Mac Phipps Met His Son McKinley “Taquan” Green After Serving 20 Years In Prison

Mac Phipps son McKinley Taquan Green, 21, is happy to meet his dad after two decades in 2021, reported Huff post. 

McKinley Jr was born three months after his father got arrested for a fatal gunshot charge. Phipps was still awaiting trial. So the rapper never expected he would miss his son’sson’s entire childhood.

“He watched him grow when Green came to visit him in the visiting room,” Mac said.

In February 2001, Mac was charged and imprisoned for manslaughter in a Louisiana nightclub after a physical altercation killed a 19-year-old Barron C Victor Jr. He was sent to prison for thirty years but later released on parole on June 22, 2021, for serving half of his life behind the bar. While in prison, Mac completed his graduation and performed in prison.

The rising superstar Mac’s career began to take a grip when the incident happened. However, his comeback was a blast. He released his fourth album, Son Of The City, after two decades on October 31, 2022.
