John Peck Madelyn Cline is on set filming the new season of the Netflix series, Outer Banks. And she gave her followers some insight into what she's up to. Cline shared a new set of photos on Instagram of herself with the cast. In the first photo, Cline and her co-stars posed in bathing suit tops and shorts. Cline makes sure to take care of her skin. She shared some of her tips to Vogue. One thing Cline makes sure to do is help remove acne. In particular, she applies a cleanser with a brush before rubbing it in. "It just makes me feel like it's actually good for my pores," she explains. "I have noticed a difference in the amount of blackheads I'm getting."
In 2020, Cline revealed her struggles with body image and disordered eating to Women's Health. She says that her mom helped her cultivate a better image of herself, which helped her overcome this. "My mom was a wonderful help in that. She would stand there in the mirror with me and we would list out things that I liked about my body. After that repetition those things became solidified in my mind. I like my curves, I like my hips, and after a while I started to love my body. I became so much happier."
Cline tells TODAY that she likes to manage her energy. For this reason, she keeps her social circle small. "If you give everything — like, 100% of your energy — away, where's the rest for yourself? You finally understand why people in the public eye keep their circles small. I realized there are parts of my life that only me or one other person are entitled to. I prefer it that way. It also just makes things more special. That's usually how relationships are."
Cline tells TODAY that when it comes to wellness, she takes things day-by-day. "I can feel myself slipping sometimes into calorie counting or whatever, and I have to pull myself back from that," she says. "Having a deeply personal relationship like that with yourself and body, being objectified, it almost puts a flashlight on it. It's a deeply personal relationship, and it's a day-in, day-out thing. It's not like, 'OK, fixed it. We're good today. It's going to be great every day onward.' It's an ongoing journey."
Cline tells TODAY that she doesn't want to put herself on a diet. Rather, she focuses on what she wants to do to make herself feel better. "The main goal is staying healthy. And healthy doesn't necessarily always look like eating kale. It just means you're feeding your body, and you're giving your body what it needs. My journey with my body got a lot healthier when I started to acknowledge and be thankful for what it puts me through."
