She was born on the 30th of August, 1979 in Camarillo, California. Not much is known of her background, both childhood and parental. We do, however, know that she grew up studying at the Idyllwild Arts Foundation before she enrolled and studied at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. At Hartford, Marin Ireland earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Hartt School.

The completion of her education meant total freedom to pursue a career as an actress and so she did in October 2000 when she met her debut in a play for the American Repertory Theatre in Hasty Pudding Theatre. She appeared in some other plays like Nocturne, an off-Broadway play, in Far Away, Sabina and a few more others.

Marin Ireland made her debut appearance onscreen in 2004, four years after her first appearance in a professional play. She appeared in the show, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, playing the characters Laura Booth and Anais Hutchinson, for two episodes. Her first feature-length movie appearance was in the movie, The Manchurian Candidate. She played an unnamed Army Transcriber.

After a couple of years of a lull in onscreen appearances, Marin Ireland began to appear more regularly onscreen in 2007, following her appearance as Katie in the movie, Suburban Girl. In the same year, she appeared in two other movies, I Am Legend and in the short movie, Mercy. She continued her multiple appearances in a single year in 2008, appearing in a variety of minor roles in several movies. She got her first recurring role in a TV show in 2011, where she played Letty on the miniseries, Mildred Pierce.
