Biography:

Marisa Tomei was born on December 4, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. She made her acting debut in the soap opera As the World Turns in 1984, and appeared in the film The Flamingo Kid in the same year.

After appearing in small films, she had her breakthrough in the 1992 film My Cousin Vinny, playing the role of Mona Lisa Vito. For her performance, she garnered several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She has since appeared in such films as Unhook the Stars, Slums of Beverly Hills, What Women Want, In the Bedroom, and The Wrestler.
