In the annual July 4th tradition, Japanese social media star Mayoi Ebihara placed herself among the top female eaters in the world by devouring 33 hot dogs and buns to take second place.

The judges initially tied the competition 33-33, however after the competition was ended, the final scores were changed.
A Tokyo-based YouTuber named Ebihara seemed to be chasing Sudo for the whole of the competition. At the halfway point, Sudo, who was in the lead with 26 hot dogs and buns, was only two hot dogs and buns behind Ebihara.

The official score of the 10-minute game was determined via instant replay after the game had ended.
