Jaycob is thirteen years old. Justin told the St. Louis Curator that he wanted to be a large part of their lives because he wasn’t there when Jayson was growing up.

“I want to be dominating in their lives,” Justin said in 2015. “I reasoned that if I had a son or daughter, you’d know me for the rest of your life, and I’d do everything in my power to make you happy.”

Jayson Tatum is Justin Tatum’s and Brandy Cole’s son. Justin, his father, was a basketball player at Saint Louis University.

He also teaches gym and coaches basketball at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis. His father graduated from Christian Brothers College High School in 1997.

Justin previously served as the coach and the sports director at Soldan International Studies High School for six years.

Tatum was in the same gym class as future NHL player Matthew Tkachuk of the Calgary Flames when high school Chaminade College Preparatory School. Tatum is also good pals with Harry Giles, a former Duke teammate and current NBA player.
