MHD Biography

Mohamed Sylla whose real name is MHD was born on 10th September 1994 in La Roche-sur-Yon, Vendée, France. His father is a Guinean and his mother is of Senegalese origin.

MHD started his rap career in Paris when he was 18 years old. However, he started gaining attention in the late 2010s after publishing online content on social media especially music videos on the YouTube platform. He was also appearing on programs including Skyrock radio’s Le Petit Journal and the youth radio show Mouv at the time.

MHD shot to international fame in 2016 following the release of his debut album MHD, which went on to sell more than 200,000 copies in a period of 6 months. This gave him the chance to tour countries like Guinea, England, Senegal and Morocco.
