Missing Lara Emanuele Update: New Jersey Elementary School Teacher

A New Jersey grade school teacher who vanished mysteriously at the beginning of June is still missing, and police are still looking for her.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Lara Emanuele, 46, was last seen on June 7 and her car was discovered abandoned on June 8 in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express in Roxbury, New Jersey, about five miles from her house.

At the Alexander Hamilton Elementary School in Morristown, New Jersey, Emanuele teaches third grade. According to News 12 New Jersey, she has red hair, is 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs around 125 lbs.

According to the source, Emanuele just dropped a restraining order against her husband Brian.

According to Meghan Knab, a spokesperson for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, “This remains a missing persons investigation.”

This is not seen as a suspicious disappearance at this moment, according to Knab. If the investigation’s focus or status changes, we’ll let the public know.

Since her abandoned car was found on last Thursday, a daily hunt for Emanuele has been going on, according to Knab. The prosecutor’s office stated in a news release on June 12 that the coordinated search has mostly concentrated on a “heavily wooded” wildlife area behind the hotel where her car was discovered.

The agency announced that it is coordinating the search for the missing teacher with the Roxbury Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s agency, the New Jersey State Police Aviation Bureau, and the New Jersey Search and Rescue.
